How long can a Motorola Razr stay on without charging the battery?
Q. Also in this situation, the phone is not being used to call or answer any incoming calls. It does receive texts and calls but no one answers. Also imagine it was fully charged when it got taken away from the owner so it couldn't be used...
Someone please help...It is important to know for a small investigation I am doing for a friend.

A. if i have a missed call or a message it automatically shows me on the outside of mine, i didn't have to configure anything. the side buttons let me select and scroll through the messages and read them as well.

How do you put music on your phone by using MOTOROLA PHONE TOOLS?
Q. ok, so i have motorola phone tools, and audacity. And i want to make some ringtones and put them on my phone. I have a USB cord. But i dint kno how to do it. can some one plz tell me the exact steps to do this?
A. Is your phone a Verizon phone? If so it won't work.
Only MPT is needed.
Start MPT. Ensure it is Up To Date.
Create a profile
Choose Cable Connection
Ensure your phone is in Modem Mode (Menu > Settings > Connection> Modem)
Connect when your pc when it asks you to.
Let it setup.
Select Multimedia or Melody Studio on the left side
Find the file you want to transfer to the phone
Edit it if you like
Save and then transfer to the phone.
Please note that if you have a Vista windows machine that you will have to get the MP3 encoder in order to create MP3 ringtones to transfer to your phone. Call Motorola as they know where you might find the encoder. Microsoft chose to not include the MP3 encoder with Windows Vista. You are able to play MP3's on vista because an MP3 Decoder is included.

A. You can't add any think to MPT. You use it as a user interface to transfer files from the PC to the phone and from phone to PC.

Which motorola cell phones will work with the sim card from an i265?
Q. I need a new phone but I want to keep my sim card and just transfer phones. I tried the i95cl but apparently that won't work. I don't really understand all of this. Thanks for your help.
A. The sim from an i265 is too new for Nextel phones with a 2 digit model number( e.g. iXX). Nextel phones with a 3 digit model number( e.g. iXXX) should work with your sim card. Since Nextel is an iDEN carrier, only iDEN phones will work with it. You can use Boost Mobile and SouthernLINC phones as long as they are unlocked, but other than those, you are stuck with Nextel phones. GSM phones will not work on an iDEN network.

How do you program a Motorola Radio?
Q. We have about 8 Motorola GP340 radios which do not seem to do anything except make loud beeps. If you put them all on channel 1, and press the talk button, nothing happens, no sound is heard or anything. I suppose I need to program them? I have found some ancient Windows 98 software but i'm not sure if this is the correct thing to use. The software is Motorola Professional GP300 CPS, which doesnt seem to do much when I have it plugged in. I am using a USB to Serial adaptor.
A. Many Motorola radios required a radio interface box (RIB) to be programmed. You probably also need the exact program. If you can't read the programming in the radio with the program you have you won't be able to program with it. The dxportal site below has GP340 software. The USB to serial adaptor may not be right and causing the read/write problem. You can also get a USB cable that claims not to need a RIB interface. The second link below leads to a list of USB cables for the GP340. I see it wrapped funny. Make sure you get the whole link or you can find them on eBay.

A. Not sure what a cp radio is. If you meant CB, then figure a hand held would be good for a few miles, a mobile might be good out to 10-15 miles and a base station might be good for 30 miles. All of these assume a very good antenna, and they disregard the "Skip" signals that go much farther but not reliably.
