Q. I'm trying to download a driver for my motorola Razr so i can use the usb port to add music and such to my phone. Well I finally found the right file online for free and then i download it and i need winzip to open it. So, I go to download winzip and it doesn't work. So, now I can't find anything else to use. I have no idea what to do now. So does anyone know of any driver that would be useful to me, without using Winzip?

You need to get Motorola Phone Tools. It's a nifty program you put on your computer and you can connect to your phone and do all kinds of neat stuff.

The cheapest and fastest way to get it is to buy it on eBay. You can get if for less then $5.00 and then download it so there is no shipping cost.

For current eBay listings go to eBay and do a search for "Motorola Phone Tools". Look at the ones that offer digital delivery. I have seen it as cheap as $2.60

Once you have the software Motorola updates it free forever.

A. do you have a usb cable for your phone ? you dont really need a a driver with that, you just need to plug one end of the cable to your fone and the other to your pc and hopefully the pc will install the necessary phone drivers and you should be able to copy your content across.

If the folder(s) isn't there than create one!

YESS YOU CAN!! go to create message, then new mutimedia message, insert, voice recording, follow the instructions, then just send it to a house phone number or something you know it wont send to then go to your outbox, view the message, hit the menu key and select store and it will be in your sounds!!

So, if I were you, I would just buy a MicroSD card, (by 1 or 2 Gig, 4 or more gigs are HCSD (High Capacity Secure Disk), not not sure if your Rarz supports HCSD cards), 2 gig would be enough. Plug this MicroSD into the card reader, transfer all the files you want to this card, then plug this card into your fone, then you can access your file. You can even customize ringtone for each caller. If you remove that file later on, the ringtone won't work anymore, so copy it to your fone memory. Your fone has limited memory, so use sparely.

Q. I just got a pair of these walkie talkies and there is no manual. How do I get them to "talk" to each other?

A. Turn both radios on, both radios have to be on the same channel 1-22. Both radios have to have the same security code. That's the little number up in the right hand corner of the screen.
Both radios will be compartable and talk to each other.
Be at least 5 feet from each other when keying mikes.
Make sure to obtain your FCC license before using.

Why do Motorola phones change ring style when the charger is plugged in?

Q. I have a RAZR V3c and whenever I plug in the charger, it will change the ringtone. For example, if I have it on a ringtone, it will turn the phone to vibrate when I plug it in. This happened on my last phone (v710) and it happens to all my other friends who have Motorolas. It doesn't make any sense. Why does this happen?

A. It is designed to do that. It's a basic default. Since all Motorola phones have the same thing happen, it is obviously part of the phone's function by design intention and is not a manufacturing flaw.

Q. My memory card is formatted to FAT(32). It is a sandisk 4GB. I have only mp3 songs on it and they do not work on my phone. However it does work on my friends samsung. A. The v1100 only recognizes cards up to 2GB. The card you have is too big for your phone. Sorry about that.

A. Well, yes its should work as it is bluetooth. Erm.. as for connecting it here's the simplest way I can put it really;

Navigate to Accessory Settings on the XMB and press X

Next go to Register Bluetooth Device and press X

It should show a message asking you to start scanning, press X

It should find your Bluetooth Headset

It should ask you for the pass key, in most cases it should be four 0s ("0000")

That should end the registration process of your Bluetooth headset

Now navigate back to Accessory Settings and select Audio Device Settings, and press X

Set Mic Level to 5, and Both Input Device and Output Device to your Bluetooth Headset if was not already set!

You might have to pres a button on your headset, for guidance refer to instructions with the head set!

How do I transport pictures from my Motorola Razr V3C camera phone to my computer?

Q. Like mentioned above, I'm having difficulties getting the pictures on my Razr to my PC. (I have Windows XP if this matters) I have a USB plug that fits into my phone, so I'm assuming that it would work. When I plug it into my computer the computer shows a message that new hardware has been found (Motorola V3C) but when I try to load necessary hardware it shows that none could be found. So I'm at a loss for what to do. Hopefully someone else with this phone or someone who knows what is going on can help me. Thanks!
When I connect both to the mini USB cord and check in My Computer, there is no big folder that shows anything to do with the phone. Just the typical people's folders and the CD drives.

A. You need to have a driver and data trasfer software. The driver you can download of the web for free, but it would only allow you to charge your phone through your computer so since you want to transfer data, you should buy Motorola Phone Tools. Its retail price is 30+, but if you buy it on eBay, you could get for under 15 bucks.

A. It should work.K1m has been supported since version 4.3.6c.

Start MPT. Ensure it is Up To Date.
Create a profile
Choose Cable Connection

Let it setup.
Select Multimedia or Melody Studio on the left side
Find the file you want to transfer to the phone
Edit it if you like
Save and then transfer to the phone.

Please note that if you have a Vista windows machine that you will have to get the MP3 encoder in order to create MP3 ringtones to transfer to your phone. Call Motorola as they know where you might find the encoder. Microsoft chose to not include the MP3 encoder with Windows Vista. You are able to play MP3's on vista because an MP3 Decoder is included.

How/where can you download old motorola ring tones like Windchimes and Bubbles?
Q. I have a motorola razer and I can't stand the ring tones that come with this phone. I have an old motorola flip phone that has the ring tones I like, is it possible to get the tones from that phone? I've checked motorola web site does numerous internet searches and the only things I can download are songs.

A. You may be able to find them at wap.3gforfree.com. you will need to go to it from your cell phones browser. They have a bunch from nokia and motorola.

What software and drivers do I need to connect my Motorola Razr v3r to my computer?

Q. I want to use it as a drive, and as a modem. I would also like to be able to charge it with the computer, transfer files, etc., but I have not been able to locate any of the software through Motorola. I don't have the CD that came with it. Does anyone have a link to these software and drivers?

As for transfer files, etc....according to Moto site, it says "Motorola Phone Tools (MPT) can be purchased from the MOTOSTORE. It is available as a software download or as a CD-ROM that can be sent directly to you. Note: MPT can also be purchased at participating Best Buy stores nationwide."

So, if I were you, I would just buy a MicroSD card, (by 1 or 2 Gig, 4 or more gigs are HCSD (High Capacity Secure Disk), not not sure if your Rarz supports HCSD cards), 2 gig would be enough. Plug this MicroSD into the card reader, transfer all the files you want to this card, then plug this card into your fone, then you can access your file. You can even customize ringtone for each caller. If you remove that file later on, the ringtone won't work anymore, so copy it to your fone memory. Your fone has limited memory, so use sparely.

A. I had the same exact problrm when I had my razor. If you have text messaging what I suggest is texting them to your email. That's how I kept my pics!

Q. I just got a razor phone and I want to set a picture to a contact but when I go to the picture and click set to phone book entry it says the phone book is empty when it's not. What do I do?

A. Go to your pictures, go to "options" then "set as" then something like Ringer ID or something, then itll take you to your contacts and you select a name from there. My advice...get rid or your razr. i had one, i hated it.

How I connect my motorola razor to another moto razor using the bluetooth?
Q. Both are motorola razor I can't find to make them talk using the bluetooth, to transfer my ring tones.

A. On Motorola's, what you have to do is select the ringtone or picture that you want to send FIRST. Then press MENU. scroll down to MOVE or SEND. Then select SEND by Bluetooth. Then you will have to pair your phones. Make sure that the receiver phone is in discoverable mode. (MENU, SETTINGS, Connection, Bluetooth, Set-up, Discoverable mode) Then they will connect and your ringtone, as long as it is unlocked should be sent to the other phone. Hope that helps!!! This one is hard to find... Don't forget to choose me for best answer!

A. Plans start at 450 rollover for 39.99 w/out data plan. Razr will be 50 at a rate plan of 59.99 and higher after rebate. But.. some att stores run specials. Go to a local store and see. Some advise, they may tell you that you must pay a 25$ processing fee, thats BS you dont, also, they will say that voice command and roadside is included in your plan and free for a month. It is free for a month but then they will charge you after that, it is a added feature that the salesperson gets paid on and does not need to be added for you to get the price.
