A. I Googled "Motorola Cable Modem sb5120 surfboard" and found out that this is Plug n Play compatable so you should not need an Installation disk!!!!
You only need the Installation disk to access the user Guide or connect via USB see

A. I had the same exact problrm when I had my razor. If you have text messaging what I suggest is texting them to your email. That's how I kept my pics!
